About
This message is about more than just preparing for the end of life.
It's about living each day with greater purpose, deeper faith, and a clearer understanding of what truly matters so that the legacy we leave is filled with real meaning.
The hope is that every reader will leave encouraged to pursue a life that reflects God's love, impacts others, and prepares their heart for eternity.
About Jay
Jay Wentz is an attorney, real estate developer, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and author whose life was transformed by one profound question:
"If I were to die today, would I be ready?"
That question led Jay on a sixteen-year journey studying Scripture, reflecting on faith, and exploring what it truly means to live prepared for eternity.
Today, Jay's passion is encouraging others to ask life's most important questions, to compare the often failed approaches with the world and discover the peace, hope, and purpose found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We no longer own our vacation home north of Santa Barbara and Point Conception primarily because traffic getting through the Los Angeles area became unbearable, sometimes turning a five-hour trip into seven or eight hours. But the beautiful view we had from this gorgeous home is etched in our minds forever... thank you, God
Look at all those amazing abalone shells that Catherine and our son Michael collected on that memorable afternoon! Hundreds had washed up on the shoreline with the tide the night before. God knew what was needed that very special day.
Great family memories looking for sea creatures when the tide was ultra-low in Santa Barbara.
Our eldest grandson, John, lovingly hugs his siblings, Grace and Will, and his cousins, River and Sage (Michael's kids), in the Rocky Mountain resort town of Telluride, Colorado.
Our grown-up grandson Will and Catherine ham it up.

A great family shot overlooking the beach in Carlsbad, California: from the left, our son, Michael, me, Catherine, our daughter Amber, her husband Scott, our grandson John, and John's wife, our granddaughter-in-law Savannah.
Nobody has to remind me that I married up when Catherine and I tied the knot in 1991. She has filled my life with great joy and brought out the best in me. I'm not sure what I did to deserve a wife as kind, smart, and beautiful-inside and out-as she is.
About ANDY
“We may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:4
Andy’s passion, priority, and purpose is Jesus Christ and sharing His love with others. He and his wife, Laurie, have been married for more than 37 years and are the parents of three children.
After the passing of their daughter Hattie at just 10 months old, Andy and Laurie experienced firsthand the comfort and faithfulness of God. That journey ultimately led them to serve families facing medical crises through Hattie’s House and the H3O Foundation.
Andy loves encouraging others, creating with purpose, and asking a simple question that has become a way of life:
Are you ready?
