Reflections
Faith is a lifelong journey.
This space is dedicated to sharing thoughts, biblical insights, practical encouragement, and conversations that help readers continue exploring what it means to live a life that matters—today and in eternity.
Everyday I ask myself if I am ready.
Three Little letters
R. U. E.
Three little letters. A simple reminder of what it means to have a relationship with our heavenly Father, to live under His authority, and to exercise the gift of faith He has given us.
This morning, I had the privilege of sharing a devotion on prayer at Venture Church during our Seek First gathering. I had prepared an outline built around these three little letters, and as I drove to church, I found myself thinking about what I wanted to share.
The Nudge
A couple of weekends ago, I was asked to speak at a men’s group at Arcade Church in Sacramento.
My flight out of San Diego was delayed, so by the time I landed, instead of going to the hotel, I went straight to dinner. When I finished, I decided I wanted some ice cream, so I stopped at Cold Stone.
As I walked in, I noticed a man sitting outside with his wife and two young sons.
His name was Travis.
I didn’t know that yet.
“Do not be afraid; only believe”
A week ago Sunday morning, I was reading Mark 5.
It’s a story many of us know. Jairus, one of the rulers of the synagogue, comes to Jesus because his little daughter is dying. He pleads with Jesus to come to his home and heal her.
Jesus goes with him.
But along the way, something happens.
A woman who has been suffering for twelve years reaches through the crowd and touches Jesus’ garment. She believes that if she can simply touch His clothes, she will be healed.
